How to join?
It’s simple – send us a few of your drawings and a few words about yourself.
We’re not looking for perfection, but for heart in your art and a love for creating.
Our illustrators help design picture books, illustrate children’s ideas, and co-create materials that help kids around the world learn about money, entrepreneurship, and life skills – in a fun, warm, and relatable way.

These are people who have found their idea, followed their passion, and today do what they love – and make a living from it.
On this page, we bring together creative entrepreneurs who share their stories to inspire new generations and help them see the possibilities that exist – and what they can do when they grow up, even if they haven’t discovered it yet.
Through their example, they show children that they too can dream, create, start something of their own – and become whatever they want to be.
They’re not here just to talk about success, but to show what the journey looks like – with its ups, downs, and belief in oneself.

Maja Fertalić
Entrepreneur
Maja Fertalić was born in 1984 in Zagreb. Her life story and professional journey have been shaped by her love for a healthy lifestyle, her perseverance, and her strong belief that something good can emerge from every challenge.
After years spent working in logistics and international companies, 2020 brought her an unexpected turning point – she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Instead of allowing that diagnosis to stop her, Maja turned it into motivation for a profound change in her lifestyle. She dedicated herself to studying nutrition, health, and the impact of food on the body and mind, and from that personal quest her project – Nutty – was born.
Driven by the desire to create healthy, natural and delicious snacks that she could enjoy every day without guilt, she developed Nutty BARice – snack bars made from simple, high-quality ingredients, without refined sugars, gluten, palm oil or unnecessary additives.
Today, she proudly leads her brand and shares with others what helped her live a healthier, stronger and more mindful life. She firmly believes that nutrition is not only food for the body, but also for the spirit. Her journey is proof that even the most difficult life circumstances can give rise to the most beautiful ideas – if we do not give up on ourselves and our dreams.
NENA PAVELIĆ
ILLUSTRATOR
Born stubborn in the 1990s in Rijeka. By profession a marketing specialist, and by calling an illustrator and (so far) the author of two children’s picture books.
Through my studio, which is primarily focused on illustration and graphic design, I work on a variety of inspiring projects — from picture books, books and school textbooks to illustrated maps, wall murals, posters, promotional materials and more.
In the little free time I manage to find, I’m an outdoor sports enthusiast. You’ll find me on the rocks, out at sea kayaking around islands, or on a road bike catching what little breath I have left in my lungs.
Lucija Plesac
ILLUSTRATOR
Lucija is the creator of the little bee, Rebel Bee, who encourages and accompanies our young entrepreneurs on their curious and exciting journey. It seems that from her very first days in 2008, Lucija has shown a deep curiosity for colours and shapes, as well as for music. By the age of two she was already confidently wielding a pencil, creating on paper a small world of imagination.
She completed elementary music school, and alongside drawing, the piano is her great love.
She is currently a student at the XV Natural Sciences and Mathematics High School. She is not yet certain what her future career will be, but she knows for sure that drawing will always remain an important part of her life, because it is where she finds her peace.
Ivan Horvat
Illustrator
I was born in 2009, right on the first day of autumn – although winter and skiing are still my favourites. Like autumn, I always carry a whole palette of colours with me, which I’ve loved using for drawing since I was little, because it calms me.
My favourite thing to draw is people, faces, and emotions through illustration.
I am a student at the School of Graphics, Design and Media Production, where I am developing my love for drawing and animation. Outside of school, you can often find me on the tennis court or passionately playing video games.
I don’t know yet if I will work as an illustrator when I grow up, but I do know that I want to be happy – and that’s why I will keep doing what brings me joy.
The picture book “Mate Found an Idea” is my first illustrated picture book, and I’m excited to see where drawing will take me next.
